Finally I have done something which I have always wanted to do in moments of being down and all...I did a self-tour to a place which is almost situated in the east of Singapore. TAMPINES.I was all alone, just wandering to various malls and parks of the place. The best part about the whole thing, I started this tour at 7.30pm and ended it at 10.40pm.To tell you guys honestly, it's really good to go to places where you can just ease your mind in a snap. Do what you want. Do whatever you want. You are all alone. No Rules, No Judgements, No Fear...This is how I felt when I was just wandering around Tampines Mall and Century Square. Although you get alot of calls from dear ones, wondering where the heck you were. But Hey, just let them know that you are at such places to just have a break. Is that wrong? It was seriously a good experience for me as, today I can proudly say that I ventured a place that I have never really gone to and see the life there. I was just walking around and the first thing that I started to spot was the people around me. How they are. What kind of people live in the East compared to the West. How they look like. Which Race (Chinese, Malay or Indian) lives in the East more compared to other places. How are the shop people like?To my suprise, I see the shop owners and staffs kinda friendly. Especially, there was this Auntie from an Under the Block Minimart shop. I desperately wanted a drink to quench my thirst after having a long walk around Tampines Area. I happen to buy a Peel Fresh Orange Juice from her. Unexpectedly it happened to be SUPER SOUR! I had no choice but to bear with it. Obviously when bought, I wouldn't know about the horrible taste of the drink. So while buying, this Auntie's shop happen to have a TV. Channel was on CHANNEL 8 and "News" was going on at that point. In Chinese. Everything. The Auntie was so cute, she was actually explaining it to me with such emotion. And I was like, "Aiyo! Really ah?"..I mean, not being sarcastic, but to think about it, an unknown person was explaining something to me just like that. It felt nice as I had an impression that she didn't take me as just some customer buying some things and going off. In order for her to translate the Chinese News for me was really something. Hehe, cute Auntie!Next was, I headed to Starbucks immediately after realising that my drink was killing my tongue buds bit by bit. It was DAMN BLOODY SOUR. Bad move in buying that boy! Once I entered Starbucks, I just felt that it was too late. I seriously thought that it was closed since the time was 10.30pm. I happen to enter the coffee place and before asking if they were closed for the day, one of the guys at the counter greeted loud enough "Welcome to Starbucks! What's your order?" I was like so dead tired and actually leaned on the counter table and order a sudden crave of mine (which happen to be Caramel Frappe) and the counter guy was so cute. Short, fair and spiky hairdo. He was like asking me, "So after work or something?" and I went like, "Nope, I had a long walk." And then he went, "Now you really do need your coffee!" Hehehe...I told him sorry about getting this coffee crave kinda late. He just told me that it's ok as they close at 11pm. No big deal. Hehe..But my coffee was done fast and I happen to rush out fast because, I wanted to get a cab asap. My legs were hurting me a little bit but hey, it was worth the walk. I think I lost some calories big time. Hehe.See, I just feel that by doing such things, you don't only get to see one side, but you see another side of how people are, the environment and lifestyle. In fact, it was a learning experience for me today. I really thank god that I got the day that I managed to do what I wanted to do all along whenever I felt down.Cheers! :P
